Boathouse-The Bridge

It was a beautiful apartment and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Positive: We loved the entire apartment. The balcony was great to sit on and admire the view! We enjoyed watching the ferry traffic. It was a nice place to base ourselves to explore the area. Negative: As mentioned in previous reviews, the ferry was a little loud early in the morning in one of the bedrooms but we knew that going into renting this place so it didn't bother us.

Beautiful view. Well equipped. Positive: Great location by water. 10 minute drive to Paihia. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Negative: It is RIGHT next to the ferry that leaves every 10 minutes the whole day. We got used to it but just know that it’s not as serene and private as it would seem from the pictures and description.

Stunning location and the perfect house for us Positive: Fabulous location and a very spacious apartment finished to a very high spec. Amazing views in every direction. Negative: Shame the gas barbecue ignition switch had been broken so we couldn’t barbecue but the great kitchen facilities more than compensated. We had one set of very noisy neighbours below us but they responded well when we told them how much noise travelled in the hot weather.

Wonderful property. Great location and perfect apartment Positive: Perfect in every way. Great location. The Galley Bistro is close-they had excellent food. The apartment has everything you need. It was perfect for two of us. The second bedroom is rather small but the first one is large. The ferry being next door did not bother us. This unit is the perfect location because it is outside of town but yet a short drive. Negative: During inclement weather, the TV buffers because it is through sky TV. But other than that, there was nothing we had to complain about.

Excellent stay in Opua Positive: Beautiful apartment and facilities. Very comfortable. Everything you'd need and more to have a great Holiday in the Bay of Islands. Negative: The smaller bedroom would be a challenge to sleep in with the active ferry right out the window. Only HEAVY sleepers will be OK in that room.
