Beach front at Sea Spray 1 Bedroom

We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t return because of the musty smell and proximity to the petrol station. Positive: The apartment is very clean, modern and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need. Very comfortable bed. Communication from the owner was excellent. The property is located across the road from the beach and is an easy beautiful 10 minute walk to town centre. Negative: Unfortunately, there is a strong musty smell in the apartment that lingered during our entire stay no matter how often we had fresh air flowing through. The bathroom access is off the bedroom but the door cannot be opened fully, it hits the foot of the bed. The apartment is at the front of the building which is situated next door to a busy petrol station so it was quite noisy.

What a stunning area the Bay of Islands is well worth a visit. Positive: This was a beautiful location, our room was on the ground floor and we had a view straight out across the bay. The room had an excellent kitchenette set up with well thought out supplies. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of room in the double wardrobe. There was a good sized clothes airer. We went on a Cruise out to the hole in the Rock and also on a ferry ride to Russell. Again stunning area. Negative: I'm sad to write this as we loved the location, and our apartment, except the bathroom door. We think something should be done about the following. The bathroom door butts right up against the end on the bed. The door doesn't open fully, maybe half way. This made access to the bathroom and therefore the laundry a bit of a nightmare. I can see there are issues on how to correct this and one suggestion is a sliding barn door or perhaps a bi fold door. at least you could get in there without dancing and pushing your way into the room. The drier also needs attention because you can't really adjust it. Although after fiddling with it I achieved getting things dry.

Positive: Clean and modern. Well stocked and a very professional host. Just cross the street and you are on the beach. Negative: There is a sump pump that runs for a few seconds every 30 minutes or so. It makes a little noise.

Positive: The location and the cleanliness was fantastic!

Loved the sea view Negative: Our tv didn’t had internet connection for some reason… but they had sky channel so my husband watched the game…. But the place was really amazing
